An Offer of Acceptance :
Before a student can apply for a student visa, a valid letter of offer from a CRICOS registered Australian institute is required ; visit www.cricos.dest.gov.au
Financial Support: An applicant must demonstrate that they can support their tuition and living expenses while studying in Australia . The financial resources required (see Table below) vary between the different study levels.

Key points for your Australian Student Visa
The Australian Visa office takes around 6-8 weeks to process a student visa so it is important that students submit all the information required at the time of application. Here are the key requirements for Indian students applying for an Australian student Visa.
¶ Living expenses are estimated at AUD 12,000 per annum.
¶ Education Bank Loans from recognized financial institutions in India are accepted for all Australian student visa subclasses. Only some financial Institutions are recognized by the Australian Visa Office – see www.india.embassy.gov.au/immigration/student_funds.htm
¶ Blood relations are accepted sponsors. Others may be accepted at the Discretion of the Visa Office.
¶ For dependents, an additional finance needs to be shown.
¶ The accepted and available liquid finances can be shown in the form of savings in a bank, fixed deposits, provident Funds and Post Office deposits, Bank Loans etc.
¶ Bonafides – The student needs to submit their past academic records for verification and also needs to submit a statement of purpose for undertaking the desired course.
¶ Medicals – After the student launches his visa file, they are Advised to undergo a medical check-up from a doctor appointed by the Australian High Commission.
¶ Pay Tuition Fees – Students are required to pay the first semester tuition fees before applying for visas. On receipt of payment, the Australian institution issues an electronic confirmation of enrolment (COE) which is a mandatory document to apply for e-visas.
¶ Passport –A student is now required to submit their passport after approval to the Australian Visa Office in Delhi for Final stamping.
